Funeral services will be held at the Myers Funeral Home Saturday at 2:30 P.m. for Mrs. Carrie Tyrrell Brown, 78, who died Wednesday (4 Apr 1956) at 6 p.m. at Bryon's Convalescent Home. The Rev. Clarence H. Gould of the Randolph Federated Church will officiate. Bearers will be Rodney Brown, Edward Brown, Rosal Rice, Robert Rice, Richard Gaylord and James Gaylord, and burial will be in Randolph Cemetery.<<>>
The daughter of Riley and Marilla Miller Tyrrell, Mrs. Brown was born in Randolph August 18, 1877. She was the widow of Arch Brown, who died in 1936.<<>>
She was a member of the Randolph Federated Church, a 40-year member of Randolph Rebekah Lodge, and past district president of Cattaraugus County, District 3 of the Rebekahs. She graduated with the Randolph school class of 1896.<<>>
Surviving are one son, Paul Brown of Randolph; four daughters, Mrs. Frances Rice of Randolph, Mrs. Isadora Gaylord of South Dayton, Mrs Aletha Frame of San Bernadino, California, also 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.<<>>
She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Tyrrell in 1937; a sister, Miss Helena Tyrrell in 1947; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Cox, in 1935, and one son, Arthur Brown in 1936.<<>>
