LIFELONG RESIDENT OF DISTRICT DIES
Galena, Kan., Sept. 18.- Mrs. Sarah Ellen Shamblin, 79 years old, died at 6:26 o'clock last night at her home 1101 Chicago Avenue following a two week illness.
Mrs. Shamblin had resided in this district all her life. She had resided alone since the death of her son, Sam Shamblin, July 29, 1929.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jane Parker of Joplin and Mrs. Rebekah Brecken of Seminole, Okla., seven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the
Clark funeral chapel, with the Rev. Lou Love in charge. Burial will be in Galena Cemetery.
