Heather Pope Foster, 34, of Wrightsville Beach, NC, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at her residence.

She was born March 10, 1978, in Dunn, NC to Sue Pope and the late Nathan Pope.

Growing up, Heather sang gospel music with her father and sister. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and loved being in the Praise Band "Deep Water". Music and raising her children were her hobbies. Being a stay at home mom was very important to her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Jacob Foster; grandfathers, Charles Pope and Ray Vargas and a niece and nephew, Steven and Brianna Strickland.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Foster of Wrightsville Beach; son and daughter, Matthew and Elizabeth Foster of the home; mother, Sue Pope of Dunn, NC; sister, Christy and husband Bill Sullivan of Dunn, mother and father-in-law, Murray and Angie Pool of Wrightsville Beach, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mandy, Ashley, Tiffany and David Foster of CA; Murray and Danielle Pool of Raleigh, NC and Jennifer and Husband Luke McMaster of Raleigh, NC; Grandmothers, Juanita Pope of Dunn, NC and Carolyn Vargas of Raleigh, NC and nieces and nephews, Jordan Sullivan, Preston and Connor Pool and Angus and Gwendolyn McMaster.

The family will receive visitors from 7-9pm, Monday, June 4, 2012 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Rd., Wilmington, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 411 Market St., Wilmington, NC with Dr. Jim Everett and Rev. Tom Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Garden.
