Mr. Beard was a self-employed plasterer. A lifelong Clinton County resident, he had lived in Kirklin.
He was born Aug 4, 1900, in Clinton County to George and Dolly Niles Beard.
A son, Ronald of California, survives.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin, with the Rev. John Morris officiating.
