CLAREMONT - Annie Pearl Connor, 82, of Piedmont Village, Newton, formerly of Catawba Street, Claremont, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at Brian Center East. Born Feb. 7, 1921, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Fulton and Katie Leola Deal Connor.
She was a lifetime member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Claremont, where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She retired from the hosiery industry, was also a member of the Claremont Garden Club, and had attended the Adult Life Program of Conover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine Spencer, Johnsie Setzer and Irma Lee Cale, and three brothers, Ralph A. Connor, Dewey Connor and Coyte Connor.
Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Kenneth Hester and Martha and Harry Lindler of Conover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17 at Drum Funeral Home Chapel in Conover. The Rev. Dr. Larry Melton will officiate and burial will follow in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 17, from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
