1820-1840 James and Elizabeth moved to this area from Blount County, Tennessee with her two married sisters. The families lived on their father, James Henry, property in Anderson Co., Bull Run Steam Plant area. John and Rachael Garner, Joseph and Ruby Black worked the land in Anderson Co., James and Elizabeth lived on the Knox Co., side. After James death in 1828 Elizabeth with her sisters purchased the 1, 000 ac in Anderson Co. from their fathers's estate. She is found with her only son William in Anderson Co. in 1830. William and sisters Jane and Leah sold their shares of the Anderson Co. Property to sister Elizabeth and John Cox in 1844 after their mothers death.
