"STUBBLEFIELD, Laura Gilmer--age 73, widow of the late Woodson Stubblefield, passed away in a Greeneville Hospital Friday evening. She was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Irene McFadden of Whitesburg, Mrs. Matthew (Sally) Collins of Morristown; sons, Tom and Roy of Whitesburg, Fred of Durham, N. C., Woodie of Greeneville; sisters Mrs. Marie Burns of Rogersville, Mrs. Minnie Retherd of Indianapolis, Ind.; brothers, Roy and Graham Gilmer; 13 grandchildren. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday at Whitesburg Baptist Church. Rev. Ted Peace and R. M. Mounts officiating. Interment in Bethesda Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home. Body will lie in state one hour before services. Stubblefield of Morristown in charge."
