LAUREL, Miss. — Mr. Johnny Hicks, 52, son of the late Henry and Beatrice Springs Hicks, died Sept. 15, 2008.
Mr. Hicks was born in Florence County. He was a graduate of J.C. Lynch High School and served in the National Guard for 13 years. Mr. Lynch was a member of Coward Church of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Malinda Hicks of Dillon and a son, Johnny Henry Hicks Jr. of Laurel, Miss.
Mr. Hicks was predeceased by a brother, Willis Hicks, and a sister, Patricia Powell.
Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at 4 p.m. in Coward Church of God. Burial will be in Bible Temple Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, in Coward Church of God.
