Served in Cunningham,s Battalion, Co. I until he was captured at Ft. Donelson, where Cunningham was part of French's Battery. After he was paroled from Camp Douglas, Bailous Fisher served in 30th Battalion, Virginia Sharpshooters (Clarke's), Co. B.

Had overstayed a pass but returned and ordered not to be issued another pass for one month from 6/20/63. Present on 10/31/63 roll. Admitted to Charlottesville Hosp. 6/9/64 for acute diarrhea, rel. 6/20/64. Arrested by Fed. forces 6/20/64. POW Atheneum Prison 7/2/64, age 23, 5'8 1/2", dk compl., blue eyes, light hair, farmer, res. Mercer Co. Oath and rel. 7/3/64. Listed on 1860 Mercer census as age 20, spelled Bilus, farm laborer, single, brother of Henry and Joseph Fisher, f.Joseph, Sr./ M-Mary"
