John E. Allen, 73, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Carmel Hills Living Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Cremation with inurnment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VITAS Hospice, 4041 S. Lynn Ct. Dr., Independence, MO 64055. John was born October 13, 1938 in Independence, MO to Joseph Edward and Lola Mae (Dixon) Allen. He was a member of the RLDS church and graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1957. John retired from Remington Arms and enjoyed fishing and bowling in his spare time. Mr. Allen is survived by his children Mark Allen and wife Kim, Kim Larsen, Chris Hemphill and wife Mary; grandchildren Devin, Mitch, Ali, Collin, Morgan and Justin; sister Myrna Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Diane; brother Darrell; sister Jo Ann.
