Funeral of Mr C.A. Abrahamson took place last Saturday when earthly remains were followed to their final resting place in the cemetary here by a large number of friends. Mr C Abrahamson was born in Freilsta Fosaming, Blekinge Lan the 19th of August 1853. He died Oct 25, 1905 making his age 53 yes 2 mo, 13 days. He came to America in 1880 and has resided in this community mostly ever since. About 10 yrs ago he went to Sweden and got married but his wife died in the spring of 1899. He had 2 children who died while they were young in the fall of 1902. He then went back to Sweden and remained there for 6 mo for his health. Deceased had been an active member of the Swedish Lutheran Church at this place since it was organized. He is survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother in Sweden and 1 brother whose home he was tenderly cared for during his declining days due to consumption and kidney disease. He has been sick for 3 yrs but only sick in bed for a week. May he rest in peace.
