Wanda M. Ensminger, age 97, of Moran, Kansas passed away on May 25, 2012 at Tara Gardens, Iola, Kansas.

Wanda was born November 17, 1914 at Moran, Kansas the daughter of Ernest J. Baker and Clara (Manbeck) Baker. Wanda was born and raised in rural Moran. She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Moran and graduated in 1931. Moran was her home for her whole life. On November 22, 1962 Wanda married Philip Ensminger. Wanda was a homemaker and she also worked at the Miller's Dress Factory in Iola for 21 years. She was a member of the Moran United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Wanda was also a member of the Sunshine Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip in 1981; her son, Rev. Jerry D. Davis on March 2, 2000; and her brother, Clyde Baker.

Wanda is survived by her daughter-in-law, Janice Davis-Portis and husband, Mark, of Concord, North Carolina; two step-daughters, Gloria Roberts of Columbia, South Carolina, and Dorothy Bartlett and husband, David, of Littleton, Colorado; four grandsons, Jeremy Davis and wife, Stephanie, of Newhall, California, Andrew and Eric Bartlett of Littleton, Colorado, and Heath Roberts and wife, Dana, of Columbia, South Carolina; four great-grandsons, Allister, Oliver, and Wesley Davis and Adam Philip Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran. Burial will follow in the Moran Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Friday before the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Moran United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
