June A. Black, age 81, died November 2, 1994 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born June 16, 1913 in Georgetown, Idaho to Ambrose and Alice Black. Married Thora Thompson on July 22, 1931 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He taught auto mechanics at the former Carbon College in Price, Utah. Also taught aircraft mechanics during World War II. Retired from Salt Lake Community College with 25 years of service. He was an active member of the LDS Church.
Survived by his wife, Thora, of Salt Lake City; and four children, Karl M. Black and wife, Myrleen of Salt Lake City; Dr. Sherwin J. Black of Antioch, Calif.; Kent R. Black and Myrna (Ralph J.) Olorenshaw; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother, Berdean Black of Montpelier, Idaho; and one sister, Barbara Hymas of Montpelier, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 1994, at 12 noon, at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, where friends call one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Mem. Estates Cemetery. Funeral directors, Deseret Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, or the American Heart Association.
