Clyde, as he was known by family and friends, fell from a ladder and struck his head, ending up in Binghamton City Hospital where, at the age of 65, he died of cerebral contusions & subarachnoid hemorrhage at 7:55 a.m. Monday following a 6-day battle for life. A long-time resident of Reading, Pennsylvania, Mr. Barlow was living at 95 Main Street, Binghamton, New York, at the time of his passing. A carpenter throughout his life, he is survived by his second wife, Emeline Parker Barlow; his only daughter, Margaret May Kreska (John J.) of Humboldt, Tennessee; only son, William Nathan Barlow of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 3 stepdaughters, Mrs. James Randal and Mrs. Ronald Kinney both of Binghamton, and Mrs. Robert Gaskill of Hillcrest; two stepsons, Stephen Parker of Chittenango and Robert Parker of Vestal; a sister, Mrs. Mary Binkley of Allentown, Pennsylvania; 7 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Nora May Hartline Barlow, in 1933; his parents, Nathan H. and Lydia Bickel Barlow; sisters, Lydia Hafer and Laura Albright; and brother, George Barlow. Arrangements were made by and funeral services held at J. F. Rice Funeral Home, 150 Main Street, Johnson City, on Thursday with The Rev. Joseph C. Guinness officiating.
