Franklin G. Horning, eighty-six, formerly of Bowmansville, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, at the home of his son, Noah H. Horning, Bird-in-Hand, R.1, near Smoketown. He was a member of the Horning Mennonite Church, Bowmansville, and was a son of the late Moses and Lavina Gehman Horning.

He is survived by two sons, David H., Myerstown R.D., and Noah H., with whom he resided. There are 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grand-children surviving; as well as one brother, the Rev. Moses G. Horning, Bowmansville.

Funeral services were held from his late residence on Monday, at 12:30 o'clock, with further services in the Bowmansville Mennonite Church at 2 o'clock. Interment was made in the Bowmansville Cemetery.
