Jacob Loy served in the War of 1812. He is in the Roster of Ohio Soldiers in the War of 1812, Vol. 1, pp.
254-255. He was in the Roll of Captain Richard Sloan's Company as Private Jacob Loy, Jr. He and others from Captain Sloan's Company served at Fort Nesbit in Darke County, Ohio protecting the frontier from Indian attacks.

He and Susannah were the parents of: Conrad m. Letty -, George m Catherine -, Green Berry m. Pamelia Snider, David, Catherine m. Daniel Fritz, Catherine m. John Gettner, Michael m. Abigail Evans, Lewis m. Elizabeth King, John, Jacob Harvey m. Catherine King.
