Margaret E. Roberts, 97, of Friendly Acres Retirement Community, a retired public school teacher, died Saturday (March 14, 1992) at Friendly Acres.

She was born April 4, 1894 in Onaga, the daughter of Andrew J. and Hannah Jane (Taylor) Crumbaker. On Sept. 22, 1944, she married Guy Jasper Roberts. He died Dec. 4, 1977.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Centennial Chapter #58 Order of the Eastern Star. She graduated from Kansas State University.

Survivors include one stepson, Bill Roberts of Ogden, Utah; one stepdaughter, Jean Dummer of Los Alamos, N.M.; one sister, Gladys Morris of Newton; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Graveside service will be 11 AM Tuesday at Sunset Cemetery, Manhattan. Friends may call from 5 to 9 PM today at Petersen's Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist church or Friendly Acres.
