She was born April 16, 1920, in Kelso, to Fred and Pearl Lincoln, and graduated with the Kelso High School class of 1938.
On Aug. 30, 1941, Dorothy married Jay E. Adams and became a loving mother and homemaker who assisted Jay with his logging and trucking business.
She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, embroidery, travel, animals, playing cards, walking and visiting with neighbors.
Dorothy was friendly and always had a smile to share. She never met a stranger.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Leatha Sinnett (Ray) of Kalama and Doris Christian (Terry) of Seattle; six grandchildren, Ron Adams (Dawn) of Pasco, Wash., Sheri Meyer (Jeff) and Jeff Sinnett, both of Kalama, Julie Sinnett (Lloyd Booth) of Woodland, Amanda Christian of Bellevue and Marlene Sherlock (Miguel) of Seattle; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Adams Jan. 3, 2004; a son, Gordon Adams; and a brother, Ray Lincoln.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kalama United Methodist Church with Pastor Dave Grauer officiating.
