Myrtice Boyer Chambers Woodard age 93 passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Services will be held at 2PM Saturday, June 2, with Rev. Frank Mullis and Rev. Bill Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Woodard was a native of Laurens County but grew up in Hancock County and made her home in Milledgeville all of her adult life. She was a retired employee of Central State Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents Howe and Bessie Thompson Boyer, her husband Hubert Ezra Woodard, her brothers Chancey Boyer, Sanford Boyer, and Joseph T. Boyer, and two sisters Eva Mae Boyer and Lucy Flury. She was a member of Hardwick Baptist Church and Eastern Star. In her retirement she devoted her time helping and checking on old friends and family. And her favorite slogan was…I may give out but I'll never give up!

Survivors include her son Lamar Chambers and spouse Mary of Devereux, a daughter Frankie Franks and spouse Jim of Tampa, FL, her sister Irene B. Archer of Sparta, grandchildren, Ron Chambers and spouse Rebecca of Milledgeville, David Scott Franks and spouse Vicky of Phoenix, AZ, Brian Mark Franks of Sioux Falls, SD, Sterling Allen Aycock and spouse Heather of Jewell, Jeanie Marie Cox and husband Stan of Milledgeville, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Chambers of Milledgeville, Kristen Elizabeth Franks of Phoenix, AZ, Chloe Elizabeth Trom-Franks and Halle Jordan Trom-Franks both of Faribault, MN, Lillian Faith Franks and Grace Marie Franks of Rapid City, SD, Skyla Aycock and Hunter Aycock of Jewell, and Samantha Cox of Milledgeville, a host of nieces and nephews, special niece Sherrie Sawyer, and a special friend Judy Chambers.
