Frank Heydon, 70, resident of the Joplin area for many years up to 1950, passed away in a Havre hospital Tuesday morning.
Mr. Heydon was born at Bolivar, Missouri, November 24, 1884. When he was 12 years old he moved with his family to Ritzville, Washington, where he lived for only a short time, moving to Greenacres, Washington. There he worked as a carpenter with his father for several years. In 1910 he filed on a homestead north and west of Joplin, and lived on the farm until 1950 when he retired and moved into Havre.
In 1912 he was married to Effie Taplin, who survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Russell Frydenlund of Devon, Mrs. Paul Johnson of Joplin, Mrs. Hugo Aspevig of Rudyard and Mrs. Alvin Keith of Havre and six sons, Cecil, Franklin, Clyde, Ferroll, Lloyd and Lyle, all of JopIin and 25 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the First Presbyterian church in Havre Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
