Oleta Fike Watts

Oleta Watts, age 69, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997 in Wellington. Services were at 2 pm Saturday, October 25, 1997 at the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev Jim Ikner, pastor, officiating. Burial was in North Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Mickey Breedlove, Gary Nation, Gary Phillips, Clifford Throne, Travis Lockhart, Gary Hiett. Honorary pallbearers were Davy Mithlo, Bradley Southerland, Chad Southerland, Kelly Foerster, Daynne Klinekole, Kevin Klinekole and Jonathan Watts.

Born in the Lillie Community of Collingsworth County to Aubrey and Katie Dabbs Fike, she attended school in Quail. Oleta was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. She and Shorty Watts were married in Clovis, NM in 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979 and by two
sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn Klinekole, Cindy Morris and Marilyn Kennedy, all of Wellington; one son, Curtis Southerland of Wellington; three brothers, Robert Fike of Cannon City, CO; Howard Fike of Amarillo and Raymond Fike of Wellington and one sister, Charlene Cleveland of Belton; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
