Carmen Taylor, age 67, of Spooner, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, WI.

Carmen Marie was born December 23, 1944 in Superior, WI the daughter of Steve and Virginia (Dennis) Taylor. Carmen grew up in Reserve and graduated from Hayward High School. She was very supporting of her grandchildren and enjoyed watching her granddaughter Sara play basketball. Carmen loved watching the food and shopping channels and was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Spooner. Carmen had visited Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in France and her faith continued to strengthen throughout her life. Carmen was employed by the St. Croix Tribal Government

She is survived by her son Matthew (Natalie) Taylor; granddaughters Jinny, Sara, Cecilie, Abbygail and Samantha; sister Janet Beck.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Tayna Taylor; brother Steven Taylor; significant other Charles Peterson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Gregory Hopeful will officiate with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander and Sarah Cormell. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from at 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29th, at Pineview Funeral Service and again from 9:00 – 10:30a.m., Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Carrie Butler, Monica Butler, Bernice Dennis, Margaret Diamond, Michelle Jochimsen, Obis Mackintosh, Teana Merrill, Lisa Taylor, Myrna Taylor, Patsy Taylor and Marilyn Tribble.

Casket Bearers will be Dave Butler, Tony Butler, Dave Dennis, Jimmy Dennis, Pat Dennis, Larry Livingston, Jeff Taylor and Shawn Taylor.
