Published in the Butler Eagle, August 31, 1929:

Mrs Christina Woodward, aged 72, of Brownsville Rd, Carrick, died at the home of her cousin, former Judge J.W. King of Kittanning at 5 o'clock this morning. Mrs Woodward had been visiting at the home of Mr King.
She was the widow of Oliver Woodward of the Brick Church, Armstrong county, and is the sister of Dr John King of Worthington, who for many years practiced medicine in Saxonburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs C A Brooks of Carrick, a brother Dr John H King of Worthington and a niece, Mrs C Hale Sipe of Butler.
Funeral services will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs C.A. Brooks of Brownsville Road, Carrick at 3 o'clock D.S.T. Monday afternoon.
