Jesse is a son of Benjamin Franklin Louder or Lowder and Clara Pace Louder. He was born 23 December 1894 in Bountiful, Davis, Utah. His father was a fruit farmer and Jesse spent much time helping with his five brothers and six sisters. After harvesting the fruit during the day, the Louders would take their produce to the old "Market Row" in Salt Lake to sell. He often drove the horse and wagon while his father went from house to house selling fruit. The family moved to Kamas where he met and married Drucilla Dorotha Richardson on 30 September 1915 in the Salt Lake Temple and they are the parents of Carl, Lloyd and Leland. After Drucilla passed away on 13 December 1920, he married her sister, Veta Ann Richardson, September 9, 1925, in the Salt Lake Temple and they are the parents of Velda, Ray, Dee, Arden, Darrell and Wilma. He has been blessed with 26 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. He loved genealogy and for many years was the chairman of the Genealogical Committee in the Orem 6th Ward. Three of his children went on missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After Veta passed away February 16, 1969, he was married to Arvilla Harrison. Most of his life was spent in fruit farming in Orem, but he worked at Geneva Steel during its construction. He also was employed by the Pleasant Grove Canning Company.
