Pamela A. "Pam" Pickering, 52, of New Haven, completed her journey on this earth Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at home surrounded by her husband and children. Born in Napoleon, Ohio, she was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church. Retiring in 2004, she enjoyed her career as a very talented floral designer at Flowers of Canterbury, Natures Corner, and Lannigan's Florist. Pam was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed, spending time at her family's cottage on Hamilton Lake, her activities with the Allied Florist Association, and touring with Old Fort Model "A" Club.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Brian Pickering; children, Joe (Nicole) Pickering and Aubrey (Aaron) Cox both of Fort Wayne; mother, Barbara Denny of Paulding, Ohio; siblings, Jay (Kathy) Denny and John (Mardi) Denny both of Grover Hill, Ohio, Joe Denny of Tallahassee, FL, Marcia (David) Mohre of Blakslee, Ohio, Theresa (Chuck) Hinschlager of Sherwood, Ohio, and Beth Ann (Jay) Dachenhaus of Paulding, Ohio; grandmother, Doris Andrews of Wauseon, Ohio, grandchildren, Sam Mihm, Levi Pickering, and Adella Cox. She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Denny.

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Ed. 930 E., New Haven, with calling one hour prior to service. The Rev. Susan Kester officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to A Day Away Adult Daycare.
