Deceased is Father of
T. Roy Fincher of
Minden
G. Harlan Fincher, aged 66, died in his home 12 miles from Minden on the Athens-Minden highway, Monday afternoon, Dec. 30, following an illness of pneumonia.
Mr. Fincher was born in Claiborne parish and married Emma Kemp of Claiborne in 1896. He was a member of the Gilgal Baptist Church and a prominent farmer.
Services were to be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 2:30 p.m. at the Gilgal Baptist church. Interment in Gilgal cemetery with the Rev. R.O. Bazer of Sarepta, La., officiating, assisted by Rev. M. Scott.
Surviving relatives are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Ray Foster of Hilo, La.; Mrs. H.P. Allendolph, Lakewood, La.; three sons, T. Roy Fincher, Minden; Aubin E. Fincher, Harris; L. Clyde Fincher, student at L.S.U., Baton Rouge.
Pallbearers, J.B. Moreland, O.S. Middlebrook, H.P. Pace, V.W. Robert, N.A. Martin, Floyd Fincher, Drew Green, Troupe Toadvin.
