Mrs. Margaret Achor Dead.
Mrs. Margaret Achor died at 8:30 this morning, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Z. D. Woodard, 908 Constitution Street, following an attack of pneumonia. Margaret Ann Michael was born in Lynchburg, Ohio, July 2, 1848. She came to Kansas in 1885, and located in Geary County. Later she moved to Alta Vista, Kan., and in 1893 to Weatherford, Okla., where she lived until about six years ago, when she and her husband came to Emporia to live with their daughter.
She was married to T. D. Achor, who survives her, March 31, 1868, at Lynchburg, Ohio. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Woodard, with whom she lived; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Montgomery and Mrs. Elizabeth Rankins, both of Lynchburg; and three brothers, Carey Michael of Lynchburg; Samuel P. Michael, of Blanchester, Ohio, and Silas E. Michael, of Careytown, Ohio. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Mrs. O. C. Weeks, of Hutchinson, and Mrs. A. R. Stark, Miss Florence Woodard, and Byron Woodard, of Emporia. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
No definite funeral arrangements have been made. The services probably will be held at the home, and the interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
