Robyn worked in the unemployment office in Corbin, KY, during high school. She later worked at Holiday Inn of Corbin, KY and then many years as an accountant in the office at National Standard in Corbin, KY. She worked a few weeks at Senture in London, KY until she had emergency surgery and was disabled.

Robyn had many years of pain and poor quality of life prior to her death due to complications with a second hip surgery. Her heart stopped several times in surgery after the surgeon severed a main artery in her leg. She then acquired MRSA while in the hospital and spent several months in a nursing facility awaiting healing in preparation for the final hip replacement. She lived several years after this surgery but was never healthy again.

Robyn loved life and was such a social fun loving person. She could really make you laugh. She loved pretty things, lots of bling. She loved to organize a party and decorate her home. She loved Christmas and giving of gifts. She decorated for all the holidays.

Robyn loved her son, Cody, more than life itself. She loved Cody's daddy, Tom Collins, more than he ever deserved.

Robyn was a born again Christian and had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ her Savior and Lord. She grew up attending church and Sunday school with her grandparents at Horse Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Corbin, Laurel Co., KY. She was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church, Corbin, Knox Co., KY where she later became a member.

On this beautiful morning, Wednesday, October 7, 2015, I came to this lovely garden alone to bury your son, Cody's ashes...I brought him with me in an oak box 10x12x6. I have had him with me at my house in Corbin, KY, since his memorial service November 2014. With each passing holiday I remembered the good times you and he shared with all of the family. I also brought with me all the cards and letters that you had given Cody throughout his life. You were a great mother to Cody. They dug down 16" and placed the package of cards in first and then Cody's box on top of those...all together now under your bronze grave marker. Cody is at rest now with you my sister, Robyn. There was a cloudless blue sky, a gentle breeze, a little morning dew on the grass, cows were meandering in the pasture across the fence, picking grass and chewing their cud, they were accompanied by a few wild turkeys. Such a peaceful place for your and Cody's earthly remains to rest, until Christ comes with you and Cody for His Bride and your and Cody's dead remains will rise first to meet Him in the air and your souls will join your new and perfect bodies. Until then you and Cody go rest high with Jesus and all the heavenly angels and it won't be long and I too will join you...

I love you and Cody dearly and miss you so...
