Opal Irene Jaynes, 87, of Corbin, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at The Heritage. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Born April 24, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Will and Sally Hannah Petrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jaynes. She is survived by her three children, June Partin and husband Dan, of Corbin, Billie Antolik of Severn, MD, and Linda Simpson, of Corbin; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; as well as other family members and many friends, all who mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herschel Walker and Bro. Joe Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow in Corn Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Hart Funeral Home located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
