Charles C. Sharp Sr. was born on a farm near Pilger, May 16, 1880. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Sharp, who were early settlers in Stanton county. He was raised in the Pilger community, where he attended school and later, Wayne College.
On June 25, 1908, he married Miss Mae E. Canaga of Hooper. They farmed in the Pilger community, until the spring of 1914, when they moved to a farm near Venus, where he was living at the time of his death Wednesday, May 10.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Robert at home and Charles of Roosevelt, Ariz.; two daughters, Evelyn at home and Mae of Compton, Calif. and one sister, Edith L. Johnson of Fresno, Calif.
