Theodore John Reeg Sr., the son of Peter and Caroline (Damme) Reeg, was born May 29, 1908 at Winside. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended a Wayne County rural school. He farmed in Wayne County with his father.
On August 21, 1931 he was united in marriage to Cecilia R. Kempf at St Peter's Lutheran Church in Pilger. After their marriage, the couple moved to a farm north of Pilger and continued to farm. Mrs. Reeg died Jan. 10, 1986.
Mr. Reeg was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pilger and he served as treasurer of the School Board for Wayne County Rural School District #23 for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Theodore Reeg and his wife, Marilyn of Wayne and Peter Reeg of Pilger, a daughter, Esther and her husband, Richard Koll also of Wayne, four grandchildren, one great-grandson and a sister, Fayette Schutt of Berger, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and four sisters.
