She was born July 28, 1917, in Fallsville.
She was a retired secretary for Arkansas Land Agency and a member of Concord Baptist Church in Van Buren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Thompson; her parents, George and Cassie Adams; three brothers, Darrell, Cletus and Aaron Adams; a sister, Maxine Menasco; a daughter, Marietta Mooney; and a granddaughter, Cheryl Thibault.
She is survived by a daughter, Lee Thibault of Alma; a son, David Simpson of Russellville; a sister, Johnnie Howell of Alma; a brother, Don Adams of Russellville; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Thompson will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Concord Baptist Church in Van Buren.
Her ashes will be interred at a later date at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
