William Hilburne Boutwell
(October 23, 1923 - May 31, 2012)

Mr. William Hilburne Boutwell, 88 of Moss Point passed away May 31, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 23, 1923 and was the youngest of thirteen children born to Dan Boutwell and Ella Jenkins Boutwell of Laurel. Mr. Boutwell was a long time resident of Moss Point.
He worked for the Pascagoula Moss Point Bank and Hancock bank for 40 years before retiring in 1987. Mr. Boutwell was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a Merchant Marine and served his country during World War II. Mr. Boutwell was a faithful member of First Baptist Church-SBC of Moss Point for many years.

Mr. Boutwell was preceded in death by his his parents, twelve siblings, and his sons, Danny Boutwell and Dorman Burton Boutwell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mildred Newman Boutwell; grandson, Will Boutwell of Huntington Beach, CA; great grandchildren Veronica, Madison and Gauge Boutwell; daughter in law, Nan Boutwell Maxwell also of Huntington Beach, CA; numerous other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation for Mr. Boutwell will be Friday, June 1, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Moss Point First Baptist Church (SBC) with Rev. Michael Perry officiating.
Interment will follow in Caswell Springs Cemetery.
