The Chico Enterprise-Record (Chico, California) 17 Jun 1967, Saturday Page 2: Gene Camron. PARADISE (E-R) – Rockford (Rocky) Gene Camron, 64, of 6186 Greenwood Road died Friday morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born Aug 24, 1902 in Salida, Colo., he had been a resident of California for 37 years, moving to Paradise three weeks ago.

Camron was a veteran of World War I, serving with the US Navy. He was a member of the American Society of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers of New York City.

Survivors include his widow, Jeri; and a sister Mrs. Helen Hoover of Encino.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Rose Chapel with Fr. Frederick E. Franklin, vicar of the St. Nicholas Episcopal Church, officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
