Oletha Comer Cannaday of Sandston died Saturday, April 21, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Luther Cannaday Sr.; a son and wife, Joseph Luther and Christine Bryant Cannaday Jr.; daughter and husband, Lori Cannaday and Ronald Everette Butler Jr.; granddaughter, Katherine Paige Butler; her mother, Mary Magdalene Comer; three sisters, Delores Esposito, Bonnie Moore and Agatha Brown; a lifelong friend, Betty D. Moyer. Remains rest at the Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and where services will be held 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
