Born in Lake City, he was a son of the late Deleon Gaskins and the late Sally Cox Gaskins. He was raised by Oliver Eaddy and Leila Cox Eaddy.
A retired carpenter, Eaddy was a member of the Prospect Independent Methodist Church and a graduate of Lake City High School.
Survivors include his wife; son and daughter-in-law of Marion; three daughters and sons-in-law of Lake City, Florence and Boiling Springs, N.C.; two brothers of Lake City and of Sumter; three sisters of Litchfield, Garner, N.C., and Georgetown and 14 grandchildren.
