Beautiful Hazel was my beloved aunt. She was daughter of Tildon Hugh Maxey and Roxey Ann Maxey of Barrow County.She had 8 siblings. She lived all of her adult life in Atlanta and Roswell. She worked for 27 years from 1951 to 1978 at Lockheed in Marietta with high level security clearance and retired from there. She never married. An early boyfriend was killed. She had such a green thumb, always had a garden, and could grow anything.
She was MUCH loved and is missed especially by her nieces.
(Ebenezer Church was less than three miles from Ma Maxey's (Roxey)farm, Hazel's childhood home, adjacent to the Appalachee River. Most of her family are buried at Ebenezer. Some at Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder.
