Three brothers and two sisters survive, Elmer and Harold, both of Williams; John, of Bedford; Mrs. Thelma Mefford and Mrs. Ruth Thomalson, both of Sarasota, Florida. Funeral services were held at the Queen Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Ernest Holt in charge of the rites. Burial was made in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Music was furnished by Elsie Tuell, Sonya Tuell, Mary Lou Jones, with Ella Holt as pianist. Pallbearers were Kenneth Mitchell, Ronald Troutman, Robert J. Holt, William Hamblin, Henry Taylor, Jr. And Paul Hovis. (Shoals News 3/8/1961)
Note: Leland Grissom had rheumatic fever when he was a boy. He died of a heart attack. He worked as a farm hand.
