Sue was born Sept. 10, 1940, in Raleigh, N.C., the daughter of Wysor Eugene and Merle Deaver Matthews.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Bentonville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry.
Survived by children, Michie Daniel of Clarksville, Tenn., Col. Douglas Kurt Jackson of Kailua, Hawaii, Cynthia Crocker of Bentonville, Tammy Reid of Fayetteville and Kimberly Wright of Bentonville; one sister, Kathleen Hershey of Ojai, Calif., and one brother, Gene Matthews of Raleigh, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Private interment in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
