THOMASVILLE | Debbie Teresa Alford Ballard, 53, of Koontz Avenue, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Brian Center Nursing Care in Lexington.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hillside Park Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Revs. Steve Chipps, Terry Boles and John Wheeles. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park. The body will remain at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Mrs. Ballard was born Oct. 23, 1953, in Davidson County to Willard Clayton Alford and Mary Gladys Hughes Alford. She was the owner and operator of Alford Bookkeeping. Her father preceded her in death.
Surviving are her mother of the home; her husband, Robert Samuel Ballard of Wilkes County; one sister, Karen A. Gladston of the home; one niece, Donita Hulin and her husband, Eric, of Thomasville; one aunt, Bonnie Alford of Thomasville; two uncles, Charlie Alford and his wife, Mildred, and Halton Hughes and his wife, Anna, all of Lexington; and special friends Martha Hollar and Kathie Hughes and her husband, Barry, all of Thomasville.
