Debbie L. Carlson, 53, of 1271N Mary Street, Manistique (Indian Lake), Michigan died accidentally on May 30, 2012 while working at Manistique Papers, Inc.

She was born June 12, 1958 in Newberry, Michigan the daughter of Lee and Shirley (Peters) Kerridge and was a graduate of Engadine High School.

On January 26, 1985 she married William D. Carlson in Engadine and they made their home in Manistique.

Debbie was employed at Manistique Papers, Inc., as a paper maker for many years.

She was an active member of the Indian Lake Golf and Country Club where she served on its Board of Directors and was also a member of the Women of the Steel Union. She loved golfing, being outdoors, playing euchre and traveling. She loved the time she was able to spend with her grandkids.

Debbie is survived by her husband, William Carlson of Manistique; sons, Jason (Mila Tuttle) Beckman of Salt Lake City, UT and Brad (Steph) Carlson of Gulliver; daughter, Amy (Raylon Miller) Sabalu of Lansing, KS; grandchildren, Milan Beckman, Lexi Tuttle, Talie Tuttle, Hayden Tuttle, Joshua Sabalu, Nadia Sabalu, Anden Miller, Dylan Carlson and Kyra Carlson; father, Lee Kerridge of Newberry; step-mother, Lenora Kerridge of Garnet; brothers, Don Kerridge of Garnet, Larry (Barbara) Kerridge of Garnet, Steve (Debbie) Kerridge of Garnet and Harvey Peters of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Sue (Mike) Crittenden of Alpena, Joann Kerridge of Garnet; Cindy (Larry) Niskala of Garnet and Mickie Peters of Mt. Pleasant; father-in-law, Donald (Marcella Quick) Carlson of Manistique; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, a brother Karl, and her son-in-law, Wilberto Sabalu.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am -1:00 pm, Saturday, June 2, 2012 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Manistique.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, at the church.

Burial will be held in the Fairview Cemetery at Manistique.
