She subsequently married Harold Mason (Hal) of Stanford, Illinois, and moved to Akron, Ohio where Hal had a long career with Goodyear. There they raised daughters Katherine (Logsdon) and Nancy, and lived for 37 years in Silver Lake. Hal's work took the family to live in Australia and the Philippines. After raising her children, Marjorie served as a councilwoman in Silver Lake in the 1970s and volunteered for the Akron Children's Home. The Masons retired to Sonoma County, California and spent the remaining years of their lives in their home in Windsor.
