Mrs. Lela Jane Callahan, 40, wife of Robert J. Callahan, of Waco, Tex., died at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco following an extended illness.
A former resident of Muncie, Mrs. Callahan had lived in Waco seven years. A native of Safford, Ariz., she belonged to the Pentecostal Church of San Antonio, Texas.
Surviving besides the husband are one son, Buford Howell of Muncie; two stepsons, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer G. King of Muncie; a brother, George King of Owenton, Ky., and two sisters, Mrs. Almeda Cook, Owenton, Ky., and Mrs. Katherine Martin, Shelbyville, Ky.
The body will arrive at the Parson Mortuary Tuesday afternoon and arrangements will be announced later.
