MRS. M. J. TAPP PASSES AWAY
Mrs. M. J. Tapp, one of Pittsburg's most beloved women was called to her home Beyond last Friday night at 10:30 after a long illness. Funeral services were held by Rev. C. B. Cross, pastor of the Methodist church, Saturday morning at the residence of her son, Mr. A. V. Tapp, where she had made her home for many years. The body was laid to rest in the City Cemetery.
Mrs. Tapp had been a resident of Pittsburg more than forty years. She was 80 years old and is survived by five children, A. V. Tapp of Pittsburg, P. W. Tapp of Denison, Rob Tapp of Washington, Mrs. E. C. Cummins of El Paso and Mrs. Callie Anderson of California.
Mrs. Tapp was a woman of high culture and deep religious zeal. Love and kindness dominated her life. She never tired of carrying sunshine into the hearts of others or of doing something for her church and Master. Indeed, a sweet and lovable soul has passed away, but the world is better for her having lived.
