Michael J. Villano, 43, the husband of Mary (Bailey) Villano died on Friday, (February 27, 2004) at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Born in Framingham, MA, the son of Anthony M. and Catherine (Glennon) Villano of Eastham, MA he had lived in Marlboro and Eastham, MA and had moved to Manchester in 1987. Michael was a 1978 graduate of St. John's High School, Shrewsbury, MA and Stonehill College Class of '82. He was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Scan-Optics Inc. of Manchester, a member of Ellington Ridge Country Club, from 1984-1991 he was an executive committee member of the Greater Hartford Open Jaycees. He was also a communicant of St. James Church.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Michael and Elizabeth; his brother, James V. and his wife Delores Villano of Southbury; and his sister, Catherine A. Villano of Marlboro, MA. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Marilyn Bailey of Kingston, NY; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Kathleen Carlisle of Millis, MA, Frank Bailey of Wayland, MA, Margaret Blasius of Middlebury, and Patrick Bailey of Watertown. Michael was predeceased by his father-in-law, Frank Bailey.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester with a Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, Main Street, Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
