She was born June 24, 1922 in Odell, a daughter of Ed and Catherine Wassom Handley.
She married Robert Kesslar in 1942 in Albuquerque, N.M. He was killed during World War II in France.
She then married Rod Crabb in Nashua, Iowa in 1968. He passed away in 2002.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Beck and Jean Fosdick; one brother, Jack Handley and one nephew, Ronald Beck.
Surviving are her daughter, Roberta "Bobbi" (Mike) Kulier, Granite City; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Chris Hebel) Kulier, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Sara (Ron Hollmann) Kulier, Vandalia and seven nieces and nephews, Harriet (Chuck) Cochran, Phil (Jonetta) Beck, Shirley (John) Wakey, Dotty (Denis) Gschwendtner, Sharon (Dee) Hamilton, Richard (Fran) Beck and Terry (Rick) Stone.
