The Rev. Gerald L. Fosbenner, 41, died Sunday in a Nampa hospital after several months illness. Mr. Fosbenner, vice president for development of NNC, was born Feb. 6, 1931, in Quakertown, Pa., where he was reared and educated. He attended Elizabethtown College and Temple University of Philadelphia. He taught journalism at Pilgrim Holiness College, Allentown, Pa., and at the University of Pennsylvania. He also was manager and editor of the Quakertown Free Press newspaper. The Rev. Mr. Fosbenner established Churches of the Nazarene at Perkasie, Pa., and Pennsburg, Pa., and served as first pastor of both churches. He was pastor of Churches of the Nazarene at Bangor, Pa., and Sioux Falls, S.D., and was associate pastor of the Spokane First Church of the Nazarene. He built Churches of The Nazarene at Lewiston, and at Salem, Ore., and served as pastor of those churches. He married Lila J. Bick April 18, 1957, in Mitchell, S.D. He was a member of the College Church of The Nazarene and the Nampa Rotary Club.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Fosbenner are two children, Gerald, II, and Lynda, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Bessie A. Fosbenner of Lansdale, Pa.; five brothers, Harvey J. Fosbenner of Coopersburg, Pa., Richard E. and Harold M. Fosbenner, both of Quakertown, Melvin V. Fosbenner of Lansdale, and Kenneth L. Fosbenner of Perkasie; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Schaffer and Mrs. Edith Harley, both of Hatfield, Pa., and Mrs. Betty Margush and Mrs. Esther Vetri, both of Lansdale. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Fosbenner; a brother, Willard, and two sisters, Ruth and Helen.
