Catherine was descended from Ralph Keeler, an early settler of Hartford Connecticut in 1639. He was, in fact, her 4x great grandfather and looms large in the history of that town (as was chronicled in publication titled, "A Genealogy of the Families of John Rockwell, of Stamford, Conn., 1641, and Ralph Keeler, of Hartford, Conn., 1639", by James Boughton, 1903).
After leaving New York, she and her husband, John, moved to Adrian, Michigan, where both of their children were born. At some point later, they all moved to California and settled in Pasadena. Catherine's mother, Sarah Morey Keeler, died and was buried in Michigan - seemingly before the family moved west.
Catherine lived with her family until her death in 1905.
