They moved to Clay,Douglas Co. Mo. and later to Ava.
Lester was married several times, first was Lola Vinson and they had 3 children.He later married Pauline Yunker .
and Freda Pauline Vaughan Slocum .
He return to Ava and then back to California where he passed away.
His son Jerry Lee Mayes with Pauline Yunker died Feb. 23,1988 in Bakersfield,California.He was born Sept. 17,1938
They had a daughter Constance "Connie" Kathleen Mayes Davenport who was cremated and buried with her mother on the family property in Brixey ,Mo.
