Accident Takes Life Of 84-Year-Old Blair Woman

Services Pending For Mrs. Anders Neve

An auto-pedestrian accident has claimed the life of an 84 year old Blair, Nebraska resident, Mrs. Anders Neve died Wednesday following the accident late Tuesday afternoon.

An auto reportedly being driven by Rhonda Stave, 16 years old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Stave of Blair, struck Mrs. Neve as she was starting across Highway 73. The location of the accident was at Park Street and 19th Street (Highway 73).

The Blair Police report that the Stave vehicle was north bound on 19th Street when the pedestrian stepped from the curb into the path of the car. Mrs. Neve was struck with the right front fender of the auto.

The Blair Rescue Squad was called to the accident shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miss Stave and Mrs. Neve were both taken to the Blair Hospital.

No charges have been filed in the accident case against the driver of the auto.

Mrs. Neve, who lived at 640 North 23rd street, in Blair, died at Memorial Community Hospital early Wednesday morning.

Her husband, the late Anders Neve, had preceded her in death on December 7, 1965.

Mrs. Neve is survived by five sons and two daughters. The sons are as follows: Rev. Aster Neve, Kenosha, Wisconsin; Prof. Paul Neve, of Blair, Alton Neve, of Albert Lea, Minnesota; Rev. Lloyd Neve, of Tokyo, Japan; Rev. Reid Neve, Council Bluffs, Iowa. The daughters are Mrs. Alla Nyegaard of Eugene, Oregon and Mrs. Jack Petjohn, of Salt Lake City, Utah.

There are 26 grandchildren. Two sisters also survive. They are Mrs. Laura Petersen, of Chicago and Mrs. Marie Andersen, of California.

Services were pending as The Enterprise went to press Wednesday afternoon. Word was being awaited from some of the members of the wide-spread family.

The Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
